A profound story with great artwork unfolds through 57+ pages in monochrome…
This independent short graphic novel depicts how a young woman is awakened to a new perspective by a small matter. Dialogues between characters are avoided and the theme is expressed by a chain of monologues and visual motifs.
In a European city at night in the rain, a young woman is standing in a street with her umbrella up. The setting takes place on a hill of memmories for her and her lover. She knows that he had left and will not come back to this hill, but good memories bind her to the hill. Being at a loss, she finds a flower caught in a spider web, and sees a reflection of her own situation in that of the flower’s. Yet, when she rescued the flower out of the spider web, an invisible force starts to guide her. She discovers a new interpretation of the scenery which was supposedly familiar, and understands the reason why the lover left. And even the way she interacts with the world starts to change–
